Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated the Crocodiles of Lesotho 2-1 in a World Cup qualifier played at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Friday night.
William Troost-Ekong opened the scoring for Eric Chelle’s men through a spot kick in the 55th minute.
Debutant Jerome Adams then made it 2-0 to the visitors in the second half after finishing off a fine move initiated by Osimhen on a counter-attack

Lesotho reduced the deficit in the 83rd minute through Hlompho Kalake, who capitalised on a goalkeeping error from Stanley Nwabali.
The final minutes were frantic, with the South African team pushing hard for an equaliser and nearly snatching one in stoppage time after another defensive mix-up.
Nigeria ultimately held on to secure a narrow but crucial win that keeps their qualification hopes alive.
