Afrobeats star Oluwatobi Ojosipe, better known as Wande Coal, has responded to reasons adduced by colleague Davido on why their collaboration on his track “Come My Way” was never officially released, querying, “Song wey no be your own?”
He reacted to the DMW label boss’s version of what transpired on Tuesday in a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
Earlier in an interview with Uncut, Davido had argued that the collaboration didn’t see the light of day because of a disagreement over the release plan.

According to the 33-year-old music producer, after recording a verse, Wande Coal wanted to drop his solo version first and use his contribution later as a remix, but he declined.
Responding to Davido’s account of events, the singer expressed frustration over his colleague’s attempt to dictate how his record should be released.
He went on to point out that the song already had a structured release strategy before he sought any external input.
While blasting Davido, Wande Coal wrote: “Carry song come give you as how? Song wey been get release plan and date!!! Song wey no be your own you wan dictate release plan. That song fuckin did well without you on it bruv!!”
