Afrobeats singer, Aituaje Iruobe, better known as Waje, has stated that she cannot marry a man who is younger or struggling financially.
She made this known recently while featuring as a guest on the latest episode of ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast.
According to the mother of one, she is no longer in her 20s and doesn’t have the time or patience to “build” with a man.

Speaking during the interview, she said, “I can’t marry someone who is not successful, and here’s why. First of all, I’m not in my 20s, so we are not growing together.
“A man leads; he leads by selling aspirations to me. I have to aspire to see him lead. And if he can’t inspire me to grow, we can’t be partners. So, success is part of it. Faith and emotional intelligence are also part of it.”
The 45-year-old artist went on to reveal that she can’t date a younger man because she is a pragmatic person.
“We will have issues. I’m very pragmatic. I sometimes have to hold myself back with my siblings, my friends, and my family members. Imagine if it was a husband? He would get tired. I will be treating him like my child. He would hate me,” Waje added.
