Vinicius says Real Madrid are desperate to win Club World Cup

Vinicius and his teammates will open their account in the competition on Wednesday against Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal

Brazil winger, Vinicius Junior, has said his club, Real Madrid, will go all out and  win this year’s FIFA Club World Cup.

He made this known while speaking ahead of the La Liga side’s first Club World Cup tie against Saudi Arabia outfit, Al-Hilal on Wednesday.

According to Madrid Xtra, Vinicius noted that the football competition is the only title that the Los Blancos have never won.

The 24-year-old while expressing confidence in his team’s ability to deliver the trophy, added that Xabi Alonso’s side are eager to win the newly expanded Club World Cup because people don’t  forget the first a team wins a competition.

Vinicius said: “We are eager to win this first Club World Cup because people never forget the first one.

“It’s the only title Real Madrid doesn’t have. We are going for it.”

Real Madrid are in Group H of the Club World Cup, taking place in the USA.

The Spanish LaLiga giants will also face Pachuca and RB Salzburg in the group stage.
