Jigawa stood still yesterday for the campaign train of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with teeming supporters flooding the venue of the rally in Dutse.
Dutse, the Jigawa State capital was grounded by supporters of the party who came from all the 27 local government that made up the state, leading to traffic snarl.
The APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu urged the people of Jigawa to vote in responsive and responsible leadership in the forthcoming general election and not allow the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) back to power.
Tinubu said having voted out the “jackals and hyenas” in the PDP-led administration in 2015, it would be “disastrous” to give the party another opportunity back to power in 2023.
He said: “You did the courageous job of chasing away the locusts eight years ago, do not trust their deceptive promises. Do not let them back into power. Like locusts, they will devour everything in their path.
