A video of a policeman shoving a protester and pulling out a pistol, has surfaced on the internet.
The incident happened in Owerri during the #EndSARS protest taking place across the country.
The policeman, whose name tag identifies him as Obioma O Obi, was first seeing hitting a protester before pulling out the weapon in a firing posture.
The protesters simply asked him to shoot during a fierce exchange with the protesters.
“Let it be put on record that officer Obioma O Obi of the Nigeria Police Force @PoliceNG assaulted and pulled a loaded weapon on peaceful protesters. Let the reform start from this video #EndSars #EndSARSBrutality #EndSarsProtests,” a tweet from @realuweez said.
Another tweet from @typicasso said: “Here we have live footage of an officer of the NPF, Obioma O. Obi pulling a loaded weapon on an unarmed protester. If this isn’t further evidence of all that’s wrong wit this country, I don’t know what is.”
@ayemojubar said: “Obioma O. Obi assaulted and wanted to shoot protesters in Imo state as against what IGP mandated. Some people cannot be fixed, you have to cast them out.”
