He further stated that the versatile actor and movie producer sometimes appears in over 20 movies a month.

Otolo, however, added that veteran actors like himself find it difficult to produce “cinema movies” because their fees are significantly lower, earning between N250,000 and N300,000.

Quoting the interview, Otolo said, “If Ibrahim Chatta appears on a movie set, he has been paid N5 million. That’s the amount he currently charges. He is the highest paid actor presently. So, my point is that he can do up to 20 jobs in a month. I brought him to my movie, ‘Jigi’ set in Ogbomoso recently.

“You can’t compare him and other young actors to some of us that are being paid between N250,000 – N300,000 and appear in just one or two films in a month. So, that is the reason it’s difficult for some of us the veterans to produce cinema movies.”
