Social media activist, Vincent Otse Martins, better known as Verydarkman, has sent tongues wagging on social media after his remarks about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu after former President, Muhammadu Buhari passed away.

Verydarkman contrasted the two administrations, noting that while Nigerians suffered economic hardship under Buhari, the current regime under Tinubu has proven to be worse.

He pointed out that most of the policies introduced by President Tinubu, such as the removal of fuel subsidies, failed to benefit the citizens.

The activist further noted that celebrities who associate with the incumbent president are often bashed by netizens.

He also suggested Nigerians who are supporting Tinubu’s administration do so, either for financial gain or due to tribal or religious affiliations.

Verydarkman said, “PBAT I don’t know if you’ve been looking on the internet, Nigerians actually wished you died in place of Buhari, Now let me tell you the craziest part, if you die, what they will do to your corpse will be worse than what they are doing to Buhari.

“Your regime is so bad that if a picture of a celebrity or influencer is released with the president, they automatically see that celebrity as a bad person and begin to insult them.

“You removed the subsidy claiming you want to use the money to do something in Nigeria but you still dey borrow money till today. We never thought in this world that as Nigerians wey dey produce oil we would buy fuel for the price it is now.

“Minimum wage wey you say you increase na still lie because some offices are complaining that they’re not being paid. Are we going to talk about insecurity. Anybody wey dey support you na because of money or people wey tribalism don finish or religion.”

After the post surface online it elicited mixed reactions, while some of those who commented in the comment section shared Verydarkman’s view, others slammed him for claiming Nigerians wanted the president dead.
