Imo State Governor, Chief Emeka Ihedioha CON, has described the sudden death of Senator Benjamin Uwajumuogu as “a huge and heartbreaking loss to the state, the people of Imo North Senatorial zone and the nation at large.”
Reacting to the death of the senator, who until his death, represented Imo North Senatorial District, Governor Ihedioha said that he was an asset to the state, and would be remembered for his significant contributions to the development of his constituency, Imo State, and the nation at large.
“Senator Benjamin Uwajumuogu was an astute politician, a committed lawmaker who would no doubt be missed profusely.”
Commiserating with his family, Governor Ihedioha said, “On behalf of the government and people of Imo State, I extend heartfelt condolences to his family, the good people of Imo North Senatorial District, the Senate on this heartbreaking exit.
“We pray that God grants his gentle soul, eternal rest and for us who mourn his passing, the fortitude to bear this very painful loss”.
