A total of10,922 students of both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) in the 2019/academic session will graduate at the convocation ceremony of the university this week.
Vice-Chancellor of UNILORI, Prof. Sulyman Age Abdulkareem who disclosed this at the pre convocation press briefing on Monday said among the students of the undergraduates’ programme, 180 of them are graduating with first-class honours.
He said 2, 836 of the students would be graduating with second class upper division while 4, 879 are of the second class lower division.
UNILORIN Vice-Chancellor explained that in the past graduate category 187 students would be awarded PhD while 1, 142 are earning Masters degree.
He said there are 113 for MBA/MPA/MILR)MGIS/MPH/MHPM while 142 completed post-graduate Diploma.
Abdulkareem also disclosed that there are 2, 766 students from the university’s affiliated institutions who have completed their programmes and who wish to be awarded a postgraduate diploma and added that another 84 also from affiliated institutions would be awarded diplomas in various disciplines.
The UNILORIN said that the ground finale of the convocation programme where the students would be awarded would takes place on the campus of the institution on Saturday.
