Investigative journalist, David Hundeyin, has been locked out of Twitter after publishing what he said was the Guinean travel passport of President-Elect, Bola Tinubu.

A travel passport of any country is issued to citizens only.

By Nigerian law, a citizen will be ineligible to vie for the presidential post if he acquires the citizenship of another country. And since Tinubu was born in Nigeria, according to Wikipedia, he appears to run afoul of that provision, plus a perjury, if the claim by Hundeyin turns out to be true.

Moments after publishing what he said was Tinubu’s Guinean passport, Twitter blocked Hundeyin’s handle.  The said passport was published on the handle.

Hundeyin’s interview with Rudolf Okonkwo on Youtube on the Tinubu’s alleged Guinean citizenship was also taken down by the video streaming tech giant.

In the interview, Hundeyin revealed that Tinubu failed to declare in his form EC9 submitted to INEC that he obtained citizenship in Guinea.

“In the form EC9, which is an affidavit, there is a question that asks if the candidate has obtained citizenship of another country. It requires a simple yes or no answer.

“Tinubu ticked ‘no’- that he has not acquired citizenship of another country. But there is prima facie evidence that he did acquire citizenship of another country and fairly recently as well. So he lied under oath, which is perjury, and under the Nigerian constitution, it’s punishable with 14 years imprisonment,” he explained.
