Tunde Bakare visits Tinubu in Lagos
By Jeffrey Agbo
Founder of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare, paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Tinubu in Lagos on Wednesday, June 4.
The meeting reportedly centered on pressing national issues and the current state of the country.
In April, during an address in Lagos, Bakare had urged President Tinubu to implement swift and strategic measures to address Nigeria’s deepening crises. He emphasised the need for a “coordinated programme” to restore national stability.
Bakare previously ran as the vice-presidential candidate alongside Muhammadu Buhari in the 2011 elections under the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC).
In 2022, he purchased the N100 million presidential Expression of Interest and Nomination forms of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) but received no votes during the party’s primaries, which President Tinubu won with 1,217 delegate votes.
