Trump threatens Iran with renewed strikes ‘if they misbehave’

President Donald Trump issued a stark warning to Iran on Wednesday, saying the U.S. would resume military action if Tehran fails to comply with a current peace agreement.

Trump made the comment while speaking with reporters in the ongoing G7 meeting in France.

“If I don’t like it, we’ll go back to shooting at them, dropping bombs on their head,” Trump said. “If they don’t behave, we’ll go right back to dropping bombs right smack in the middle of their head.”

The president said any change to the agreement or failure to comply could trigger an immediate military response.

The proposed agreement includes reopening the Strait, ending the U.S. blockade, a 60-day negotiation period over Iran’s uranium enrichment, sanctions relief, and a ceasefire agreement involving Israel and Hezbollah.

Trump contrasted the current deal with the Obama administration’s Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), arguing that the previous approach was ineffective. He claimed the Obama-era policy attempted to “bribe their way out of it.”

“You know what the Iranians did? They laughed at Obama and they said, ‘he’s a stupid son of a b****,'” Trump added.
