Tinubu vows Nigeria will beat economic woes, says ‘Poverty won’t define us’

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday assured Nigerians that the country will overcome its current economic challenges, promising that his policies will eventually yield the desired results.

​He made the promise in a statement in Abuja while addressing the participants of the ongoing Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) Conference.

​He went on to assure them that poverty will not define Nigeria’s future under his watch.

​”We may be poor; poverty is not going to be our milestone. We are going to come out of it,” he stated.

​Tinubu further acknowledged that the reforms his administration undertook were challenging but argued they were aimed at placing Nigeria’s economy on a strong and enduring footing.
