In continuation of his efforts at consolidation and capacity building, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, visited the Senate President Ahmad Lawan, over the weekend in Abuja.
Tinubu, national leader of the party and former Lagos State governor, was among the 22 aspirants that contested for the APC presidential ticket at the June 8 special convention of the party. Tinubu won the primary with a landslide of 1,271 votes.

Others that competed with himwere, the Senate President, Lawan; Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo; former Minister for Transportation, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, former Minister for Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, Ebonyi State governor, Dave Umahi, Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi, Kogi State governor, Yahya Bello, Senators Rochas Okorocha and Ibikunle Amosun.
One of the aspirants that also paid N100M for the nomination and expression of interest form, Emeka Nwajiuba, stayed away from the primary.
Tinubu has since the conclusion of the primary, been paying visits to some of his co-contestants. He had earlier visited Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello.
