Nigerian singer, songwriter, and music producer, Timi Dakolo has said Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro does not have what it takes to qualify Nigeria for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
He gave the advice to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) while reacting to Nigeria’s 1-1 draw against Lesotho on Thursday evening on his X page (formerly Twitter).
TheNiche had earlier reported that the Likuena of Lesotho held the Super Eagles to a score draw in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.

Second-half goals from Lesotho’s Motlomelo Mkhwanazi and Nigerian defender, Semi Ajayi ensured both teams shared a point each.
Reacting to the Super Eagles’ display against the Southern African nation, Timi Dakolo tweeted: “Dear @thenff, this coach can’t be the best coach available for a country like Nigeria.
“This is very embarrassing. This man can’t take the Super Eagles to the World Cup. It is actually painful to watch.”
Nigeria missed a chance to play at the 2022 edition World Cup, held in Qatar, following a painful exit inflicted by the Black Stars of Ghana in Abuja.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles will travel to Rwanda to face Zimbabwe in their World Cup qualifier second group game on Sunday.
