From fashion designers, social media content creators and developers; craftsmen and women; handmade shoemakers to sellers and resellers of all kinds of wares and even voice over artists, they are telling their own stories in their own unique way.

With advertising in conventional and digital media running into millions, social media offers them the opportunity to bring their crafts to your doorstep even when you are not seeking to buy.

They are encouraging others not to be abashed of their hustle which many of them say puts food on their table.

Some of those displaying their crafts are mostly new graduates who are into side hustle pending when they land a job.

“I make men’s clothing,” Zeal Taylor says as he adorns a perfectly designed traditional outfit on Twitter.

Fatima Hamaza says she makes Gurasa, a difficult-to-make meal from the northern part of Nigeria.

Others display conference souvenir designed by them.

“I am a Tailor. I was born into the business,” KasLaw says.

“If I knew back then that tailoring/fashion would go this far I’d have started as a professional a long time ago but instead I chose the white collar path and now I am back into the tailoring/fashion business,” he said.

“I am not a celebrity,” Gracie Oguns says as she displays specially crafted footwear on Twitter.

“I am just a young girl trying to survive, I am begging my Fan on twitter to support my Hustle by RETWEETING,” Gracie says.

Nigerians, mostly youths are surmounting the odds and breaking barriers despite lack of support from the government.

They are indeed not lazy Nigerian youths.
