The new catechism
By Abraham Nwankwo
Advanced-fee fraud and drug trafficking:
Favourite tracks of the get-rich-quick.
With lightning speed they brace the tape;
But no fast heart-pumping ’cause no effort.
Not like the athlete in the Olympic sprint;
Rather, only a bag of shameful tricks.
Then huge fortunes made from the illicit game.
Their Influence pollutes the fatherland.

Many young people enlist into the vulgar race,
Dumping honest occupations and life pursuits.
Money is everything in the new catechism:
So preach the new rabbi – the inverse messiahs;
The apostles of vanity and indecent materialism,
The pollutants of the erstwhile social paradise.
They emasculate the apparatus of state control:
The legal and security system; the sovereign itself.
The nouveaux rich have bought their way into all,
To that corrupt state the state has fallen,
To the indecent assault of men of scum.
But it’s their dirty wish that now triumphs.
So enter social decay and civilization flee!
