Afrobeats singer, songwriter, and record producer Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, has expressed disbelief following a revelation by Arsenal star Bukayo Saka that he does not know who Canadian singer Celine Dion is.
Speaking during a recent chat with Tems, the England winger claimed he did not recognise the iconic music star and had never heard any of her songs.
The exchange began when Saka asked the Grammy-winning Nigerian artist who her idols were while she was growing up.
He asked: “You said you were nine when you started singing. Did you have any idols or singers you loved?”

Responding to the inquiry, Tems replied: “I loved Celine Dion.”
The Gunners star, who looked seemingly lost after the reply, then admitted: “I don’t know who that is.”
Expressing shock at his comment, Tems asked: “You don’t know who Celine Dion is?”
Saka once again replied in the affirmative: “No. Is that bad?”
Still struggling to grasp the fact that anyone could be unfamiliar with the music icon, Tems exclaimed: “Oh, my gosh. Celine Dion!”
