The government suspended them alongside the chairmen and vice chairmen of the 16 councils and hinged the suspension on what it called the need to carry out a thorough and uninterrupted investigation of allegation of misappropriation of public fund made against them.

Emannuel who is a member of the PDP like most of his suspended colleagues died on Thursday.

Meanwhile the State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, has commiserated with the opposition PDP and the people of Ekiti local government council over the death.

The Governor in his condolence message said the death of the politician who left behind his parents and a young family was painful.

“This is one death too many, particularly because the deceased left behind his two parents, a wife, and little children. We wish this never happened but we are all pencils in the hands of our Maker. We are therefore left with no choice but to accept God’s decision.
