Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has moved to calm frazzled nerves after a previous post he shared on social media led to the chastisement of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) by football fans.

In the post, the Fulham player was silent while showing the team’s hotel surroundings in Morocco ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers playoff against Gabon on Thursday.

The now-trending video later drew the attention of Super Eagles’ supporters, many of whom assumed he was showcasing the poor condition of the team’s accommodation in Rabat.

Reacting to the post, the Nigerian fans expressed concerns about the welfare and preparation of the Nigerian national team ahead of the Gabon clash and blasted the NFF for the seemingly shoddy arrangements.

However, Iwobi has now clarified his stance regarding the post, insisting that he never made any complaint or passed judgment about the hotel.

Speaking via his verified handle, Iwobi said, “Are you seeing life? It’s all about perspective, because I snapped at the view I have and people are thinking these guys are ungrateful.”

The former Arsenal player added, “Brother, I never said one thing. I just did one look like this, never said a word. Because, you see, in life, some people don’t even have yards; some of them don’t have beds.”
