Super Eagles will take on Benin Republic at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Tuesday.

The Super Eagles have finally touched down in Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom, for the final group fixture of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Benin Republic.
TheNiche had earlier reported that the players and their officials who were expected to arrive in Nigeria on Saturday were delayed by a flight hitch.
They got stranded after a cracked windscreen on the charted ValueJet Airline aircraft conveying then from South Africa forced the pilot to land the plane in Luanda, Angola on Saturday.

The contingent, however, arrived Uyo around 8.05 am on Sunday and proceeded to their Four Points by Sheraton Hotel after sorting out airport formalities.
Super Eagles will take on the Cheetahs of Benin Republic at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Tuesday.
Eric Chelle’s men ensured Nigeria remained in contention for a World Cup ticket after securing a 2-1 win over Lesotho on Friday .
However, they must defeat Benin convincingly and hope that South Africa drop points against Rwanda to reach the 2026 World Cup.
