Sule Lamido says Tinubu will abandon Wike after securing South-South

Lamodo, however, noted that the incumbent president has already secured four South South states.

Former Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido, on Tuesday night asserted that President Bola Tinubu will ditch the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, once he is able to take charge of the South-South states.

He made this known during an interview on Arise Televisions’ Prime Time.

According to him, Tinubu appointed the former Rivers State governor for a specific political purpose, and once it is accomplished, he will abandon him.

The former Minister of Foreign Affairs further noted that the incumbent president has already secured four South South states. .

Speaking while featuring as a guest on the programme, Lamido said, “Tinubu was looking for someone who will help him in his political interest.

“The whole appointment of Wike was to make sure Tinubu secures the South-South.

“So far, he has been able to get Akwa Ibom and Edo states. Wike already has Rivers State.

“By the time Tinubu is able to secure the South-South in his own basket, Wike will become irrelevant, and he will remove him.

“He appointed Wike for a purpose, gave him an office for a purpose; by the time the purpose is no more, that’s the end of it.”
