Popular American TV host, Steve Harvey, has backed claims by Nigerian senator, Ned Nwoko that viral reports that he and his wife, Marjorie Bridges, are getting a divorce are false.

TheNiche had earlier reported that the People Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain took to his social media page to refute claims that Majorie has decided to leave her husband.

Nwoko made this known, after news surfaced online that Marjorie cheated on Steve with his security and later filed for divorce, asking for $400 million in settlement.

Reacting to the news on Saturday via his Twitter handle, the Nigerian politician wrote: “Fake news has been taken to new heights all over the world and this is so unfortunate.

“ We experience this practically everyday and so when we read about our friend Steve Harvey and his lovely wife having issues, we had to contact him and he confirmed that he and his wife are very much okay and it’s all fake news and should be disregarded.

“The family is happy together and we wish them all the best.”

Also addressing the rumours during the Invest Fest 2023 held in Atlanta on Sunday, Harvey backed the claims earlier made by Senator Nwoko, as he debunked the speculations and insisted that he and his wife are fine.

The comedian, in a now trending clip, said: “Before I get started, just let me say, I’m fine. Marjorie’s fine. I don’t know what you all are doing, but find something else to do because we are fine. Lord, have mercy. Man. I ain’t got no time for rumours and gossip. God’s been good to me, I’m still shining.”

The couple met in 1987 at a comedy club and walked down the aisle in 2007.
