Spalletti expels Osimhen after altercation with teammate

Spalletti, who was officiating the training session, got angry and  demanded that Victor Osimhen gets off the training pitch

Napoli striker and Nigeria international, Victor Osimhen was dismissed from the training pitch on Sunday afternoon following a confrontation with a teammate.

The Serie A club are still in their preseason camp in Castel di Sangro, a city and comune of 6,461 people in the Province of L’Aquila, in Abruzzo, Central Italy.

During a 11v11 training exercise, new signing Leo Ostigard, who was in Osimhen’s team, was hit hard by Cameroon international, Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and this didn’t sit well with the Nigerian.

He approached Anguissa and protested the hard tackle, demanding a foul call in a seemingly very aggressive manner.

Despite attempts by Anguissa to calm him down, the Super Eagles player would not be pacified, as he continued his protest.

His action led the coach, Spalletti, who was officiating the session, to get angry and order the 23-year-old to get off the training pitch.

Per reports from multiple sources, Spalletti was believed to have told Osimhen, “You talk too much. Go and take a shower.”

Osimhen, who was still not pleased,  took off his training bib and angrily stormed out of the training session into the dressing room.
