Soludo charges indigenes to invest in Anambra, says over 700km road network constructed, security solidified

Building a stronger Anambra together: Governor Soludo, traditional leaders, and other Anambrarians at the launch of Anambra Homeland Consciousness initiative in Lagos on Sunday (02/03/25)

Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has urged indigenes of the state to be home conscious in their investment decisions.

Soludo, who reeled out efforts made by his government to make Anambra a conducive environment for businesses at an event hosted by the State Liaison office in Lagos on Sunday March 2, said over 700 kilometre of roads have been constructed, with more than 400 asphalted.

Nicknamed ‘Solution,’ Soludo explained that his government has given security a priority attention with the initiative of setting up a new force codenamed Agunechemba which has put kidnappers and criminals on the run.

He said 168 patrol vehicles were procured by his government and distributed to different security agencies, plus advanced technological equipment to enhance surveillance.

The governor assured Anambra indigenes to support the growth of the state through their support to the state’s security trust fund or those of their local communities.

On his part, the Senior Special Assistant/Liaison Officer of Anambra State Liaison Office in Lagos, Barrister Leo Chiegboka urged the indigenes of Anambra to contribute towards boosting the internally generated revenue of the state.

He said: “All of us should get involved and not stay aloof. We should participate and be counted in the numbers.”

Chiegboka urged Anambra sons and daughters to emulate the Jews who generate wealth in the U.S. and contribute much of it to their homeland to support educational institutions, research and development, technology, personnel up-skilling, and many other sectors.

“We appeal for us to determine to give monthly financial support to a dedicated account to boost the revenue of the state, and to engage in philanthropy, undertake community projects and support local initiatives,” he said.
