Liverpool manager, Arne Slot has explained why he substituted Milos Kerkez during his team’s 2-1 loss to Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The left back was replaced by Andy Robertson in the 58th minute of the encounter after enduring a difficult evening against Blues winger, Pedro Neto.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, the Dutch tactician said he made the decision because he noticed that Kerkez was tired.

He further admitted that Neto and Alejandro Garnacho caused his team problems while on the pitch.
Slot said, “Milos was more and more tired – he played 90 minutes in two games and now for the third game in a week, which he’s not used to when he played at Bournemouth.”
He added, “You could feel and see it got more and more difficult to keep going, and their wingers [Neto and Garnacho] are a threat, so we decided to make a change over there.”
With the defeat, slot has now lost three consecutive games and surrendered top spot in Premier League to north London rivals, Arsenal.
