Ghanaian singer Abdul Kadir, popularly known as Captan, has claimed that his former record label boss, Shatta Wale, once prevented Nigerian singer Burna Boy from spending time in a Ghanaian prison after he was allegedly arrested for smoking cannabis, also known as “weed”.
He made this known while appearing as a guest on a trending podcast interview, which recently made the rounds online.
According to Captan, Shatta Wale sent him and others to bail Burna Boy out of custody after he was picked up by the police.
He went on to claim that Shatta Wale and his crew once accommodated the ‘Last Last’ crooner when he was being hunted by some dangerous men.

Speaking during the interview, Captan said: “I once bailed Burna Boy out of prison in Ghana when he was arrested for smoking weed. Shatta Wale sent me and some guys to go and free him from police custody.
“There was a time we also accommodated him when some people were after his life. We helped him settle the case.”
The artist, however, added that he and Burna Boy are no longer on good terms following the Grammy-winning singer’s fallout with his mentor, Shatta Wale.
He noted that both he and Shatta Wale remain open to reconciling with the ace Afrobeats singer if he desires it.
