Shehu Sani speaking via his verified X handle, formerly Twitter, also warned against a repeat of such an action

Human rights activist and former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani has frowned at the decision of some of the residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to loot government warehouses.
TheNiche had earlier reported that hoodlums on Sunday invaded Agric Department Strategic food store located at Tasha, Abuja, and carted away food items and other valuables.
Another attempt by the hoodlums to raid a factory warehouse at the Idu Industrial District, Jabi, Abuja, was, however, averted.
Since then, operatives of the FCT Police Command have arrested at least 15 suspects and recovered some of the stolen items.

Reacting to the development via his X handle, Senator Shehu Sani, condemned the act and urged the residents not to repeat such.
Speaking via his social media page, he tweeted: “My dear Abuja residents, why did you invade and loot the Government food warehouse. Don’t repeat it please”.
However, after his post made its way to social media some Nigerians took to the comment section of the post to disagreed with him.
They justified the looting, saying it’s a fallout of the current economic hardship ravaging the country.
