Human rights activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has told fellow activist and influencer Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan, that sending popular cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika (aka BLord) to prison due to the expertise of his legal team is not a victory.
He made this known recently in a Facebook post, describing the development as the oppression of a fellow Nigerian.

Sowore’s comments come hours after a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja remanded BLord in Kuje prison for 26 days.
The businessman was incarcerated on Wednesday, 1 April 2026, for impersonating VeryDarkMan, forgery, false endorsement, breach of privacy, and identity theft, among other charges.

Reacting to the decision, Sowore condemned the manner in which the case was handled.
While accusing VeryDarkMan and his lawyer, Marshal D.F. Abubakar, of oppression, the activist noted that victory should be derived from the strength of the case and not simply through legal brilliance.
Speaking via his verified handle, Sowore said: “I have read about the court-ordered detention of an individual known as B-Lord, and I must say clearly that no one should celebrate the incarceration of any person under the colour of law.
“I have reached out to my astute rights lawyer, Marshal D.F. Abubakar, urging him to disengage from the process. We must all agree that sending B-Lord to prison is not a victory for legal brilliance or advocacy. Rather, it risks emboldening a system of oppression that weaponises the law against citizens.
“Justice must never be reduced to punishment for its own sake. I will work to ensure this case is discontinued and B-Lord is released without further delay.”
