A Lagos security guard, Ifeanyi Udoka, 22, has been remanded in custody for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl at a school where he was employed to ensure the safety of pupils.

A Magistrate’s Court in Ogudu, Lagos ordered Udoka held at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre pending legal advice from the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP), and adjourned the case until June 25 for further proceedings.

Udoka was on Monday arraigned before Magistrate S.K. Matepo by the Lagos Police Command on alleged defilement of the minor.

The charge sheet read: “That you, Ifeanyi Kelvin Udoka ‘M’, sometimes in May, 2025, at King Heritage School Ikosi Ketu in the Ikeja Magisterial district did defile one (name withheld) ‘F’, age 4 years old, by having canal knowledge of her and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 137 of the criminal law of Lagos State 2015.”

A source familiar with the matter said the incident came to light when the child’s grandmother observed her strange behaviour after she returned home from school.

She reportedly began urinating on herself uncontrollably.

On enquiry, she told the grandmother that the security guard at the school touched her “bum bum.”
