Liverpool winger, Mohamed Salah, has urged his teammate, Virgil van Dijk to commit his future to the Merseyside club after saying he’ll “love” to play with him next season.
He made this known while speaking after Liverpool beat West Ham 2-1 in a league game played on Sunday night.
Salah ended speculation over his own future at Anfield by putting pen to paper on a two-year extension on Friday.
Prior to singing the deal, the 33-year-old was set to become a free agent, just like Liverpool defender, Van Dijk.

However, despite the anxiety over Van Dijk’s ongoing contract talks, there is optimism that the Reds’ captain will agree to fresh terms with the Premier League club.
The Dutch defender after scoring the winner for Liverpool in their win over West Ham United celebrated by kissing the badge on his shirt in front of the Kop.
Speaking on the celebration after the match, Van Dijk said: “Everyone knows how much I love this club, and let’s see what next week will look like.”
Also waing into the topic after the narrow win, Salah said: “I am glad we managed to do that [contract] before the end of the season. Hopefully, Virgil will be next.
“He (Van Dyke) can do whatever he wants, but I would love to play with him next season.”
