Ace Afrobeats singer, songwriter and record producer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has claimed he does not get the deserved accolade despite his impact on the Nigerian music industry.
He made this known during a recent interview with popular content creator, Egungun of Lagos.
According to the ‘Electricity’ crooner, despite being consistent in the music industry for 15 years, people don’t give him his due credit.
Speaking during the chat, Davido said, “I have been conquering the music industry for 15 years, but the crazy thing is that people don’t give me my flowers [credits] that I deserve.”

When asked if he believes that there are some music lovers who hate him. He replied, “There are haters, but when I go everywhere, they love me, so I’m like, where are the haters?”
However, despite Davido’s claim that he doesn’t get enough credit for his impact, he remains one of the Nigerian artists with most awards on the local and international scenes.
He won the Artist of the Year at the recently held 17th edition of The Headies Awards in Lagos.
He was also adjudged the Digital Artist of the Year at the award ceremony.
