Bayern Munich and Senegal forward, Sadio Mane, has taken to social media to encourage his teammates after England outclassed and put three goals past them in a last 16 World Cup game played on Sunday.
Mane, who was ruled out of the ongoing World Cup due to a knee injury, told his Senegal teammates he was ‘very proud of their run to the round of 16 at the tournament in Qatar despite the heavy defeat.
Three goals from Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson, Spurs’s Harry Kane and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka gave the Three Lions a comprehensive 3-0 victory over African champions, Senegal.

Reacting to the loss, Sadio Mane, via in a post on his Instagram account, wrote:
“Dear brothers, the people are very proud of your journey and you have put the balm in the hearts of Senegalese and all supporters by defending the national flag with dignity.
“Continue learning and good luck. We will go in search of more trophies Inshallah.”
Meanwhile, England after the victory will now face defending champions, France, who also beat Poland in another round of 16 matches on Sunday at the quarter-final stage.
