Ronaldo urges Man United to set his asking price

Ronaldo also said he now has an offer to leave Man Utd, but the Portuguese striker kept mum on the identity of the club he intends to leave for

Portuguese superstar and Manchester United striker, Cristiano Ronaldo is bent on leaving Old Trafford in his quest to play Champions League football this season.

The striker according to the UK Sun has told the Manchester club that he has now received an active offer and is ready to leave the club this summer.

Ronaldo further told the United hierarchy to set an asking price for him, so that he can trigger a move away from the club

The 37-year-old’s claim came amid reports that top clubs like Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid have distanced themselves from securing his services.

Ronaldo travelled to the United Kingdom last week to hold showdown talks with his coach Erik ten Hag and United’s management in the company of his agent Jorge Mendes.

Report which made the rounds afterward suggests that Mendes told the red half of Manchester, that Ronaldo has a “live offer” and that a transfer fee must be set for his client.

However, the report was silent on the team that approached the talented striker for his signature or the league he hopes to play.  

The five-time Ballon d’or winner missed United’s pre-season tour to Thailand and Australia citing family issues.
