He, however, admitted that he was happy with the performances of the Seleção at the World Cup so far.

He said: “I was very happy to play in the FIFA World Cup in the United States in 1994.

”That was 32 years ago, and now I am very happy and excited to be back here, especially to see the performance of the Brazilian team, who have improved a lot.

”The French team has also impressed me a lot; in my opinion, they are currently the best team in the world.”
