Rodri, who joined Man City from Atlético Madrid in 2019, has played for the Premier League club 196 times, scoring on 23 occasions.

Manchester City midfielder Rodrigo Hernández Cascante, known simply as Rodri, has seemingly dashed the hopes of Real Madrid fans after agreeing personal terms with their La Liga rivals Barcelona ahead of a proposed summer move.
This was revealed on Friday morning by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano in a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
Rodri has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, but it appears Barcelona have now stolen a march on their rivals.
Romano indicated that the Blaugrana have sent contract details to Rodri’s agent, who has accepted the offer.
He added that the reigning La Liga champions have also opened negotiations with Manchester City over a transfer fee for the 30-year-old.

Taking to his verified account, Romano wrote: “Barcelona have fully agreed on personal terms with Rodri after contract proposal sent to his agent.
“Negotiations club to club to follow with Man City to advance on transfer fee and get the deal done ASAP.”
In a follow-up post on the platform, the Italian journalist wrote: “Rodri’s agent confirms he’s picked Barcelona over Real Madrid.
“‘Out of respect for Madrid, as they have been class, Rodri informed them that his decision is to join Barça’, quotes from his agent Barquero reported by @ellarguero.
“Personal terms, 100% agreed.”
In a further update, Romano added: “Barcelona now in official club to club talks with Man City and very confident to get Rodri deal done.
“Initial indications from Barça open to pay fee slightly over €45m, Man City in direct talks indicating higher price.
“Rodri wants Barça.”
