Pundit and former Manchester defender, Rio Ferdinand, has aimed a dig at Red Devil winger, Antony, saying he does not look like a player who possesses what it takes to go past players despite being a winger.
Rio made the comment after the Brazil international put up a below par performance during his side’s Premier League 3-2 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
The 22-year-old produced another unimpressive and shocking display as goals from Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka gave north London club, Arsenal victory over Man United.
The Man United legend, while analysing the game after the intriguing encounter, noted that Antony could not beat anyone, adding that his inability to go past players worry him.

Speaking on his FIVE YouTube show, Ferdinand said: “The concerning thing for me with somebody like Antony is that he can’t beat anyone – and for a Brazilian that is surprising!
“He just doesn’t beat anyone and I am sitting there thinking, ‘Was that always the way?’
“I have seen clips of him when he was at Ajax and he was somebody who used to beat people.”
He went on to say even Thomas Partey who is not renowned for his speed, was able to go past Antony, claiming he might need to work on his legs so as to have the needed power to beat defenders.
“I saw Partey – who I would not put down like a roaster, a sprinter – absolutely burst past him, and I am thinking, ‘Woah, he [Antony] has not got much power in his legs!’” Rio added.
