Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has been called upon to urgently repair the deplorable road of Okeagbe-Arigidi-Ikare to ease the suffering of the people in the area.

The plea was made by Venerable Foluso T. Akerele at the burial of Pa Gabriel Akinleye Alabi at St. George’s Anglican Church, Okeagbe Akoko in Akoko North West Local Government Area of the state.

Akerele while appealing to the governor, lamented that despite all entreaties to the state government in the last one and half year, nothing has been done on the road.

According to him, when Governor Akeredolu came to Okeagbe for campaign, he did promise to repair the road within the one year of his administration.

He noted that this is the only major road in the local government, saying that the road also linked the state and Ekiti state.

His words “We thought that within the six months of Akeredolu administration, with what he told us during his campaign at Okeagbe, the road will be motorable.

“But, what we are experiencing on the road today is terrible, that is why we cry out and appeal to the Governor to urgently come to our aid and repair the road to ease our suffering,” he pleaded.

The cleric however enjoyed Christians to always prepare for their heavenly home, saying that the end time is at hand.

“I think we should start to prepare for building our home in heaven. What we are seeing today is a pointer to the fact that, we are in the end time,” he said.

Akerele described Pa Gabriel Alabi as a fervent person when he was alive enjoining his children to emulate his good virtues.
