Senator Remi Tinubu has insulted another Nigerian again in public.
The wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) self-styled national leader, Bola Tinubu, had called the senator representing Kogi West, Senator Smart Adeyemi, a wolf in sheep clothing, on April 27, during a senate plenary. Adeyemi ignored her.
The latest happened yesterday, May 26. Remi Tinubu called a participant at the public hearing on the amendment of the 1999 constitution a thug. The woman replied that she was not a thug. Other Nigerians at the event also protested the insult.
In 2016, Remi Tinubu had described Senator Dino Melaye as childish when as a serving senator, he urged his colleagues to come hard against those being used by the executive to remove Senate President Bukola Saraki. Premium Times had quoted Remi Tinubu as saying at the time: “I’m just wondering why whenever Senator Dino speaks in this chamber, he is always threatening people and behaving childishly and at times like a thug.”
Nigerians are already wondering what level of threats and harassment they will be subjected to when Remi Tinubu eventually becomes the First Lady of Nigeria. Her husband, Bola Tinubu, is positioning to replace Buhari in 2023.
A tweet from the handle @firstladyship said: “Patience Jonathan was compassionate. Even as she was being mocked, she remained A MOTHER. Aisha Buhari is selfish, but she is not a rascal. Remi Tinubu has not only shown her rascality many times, but she has also shown her bigotry as well. Remi is not fit for the office of a First Lady.”

With Remi Tinubu, You will have a First Lady who harass and tyrannise anyone who speaks against govt. May this disaster not hit Nigeria.”
