PSC promotes Lagos CP Jimoh Moshood, 12 others to rank of AIG
Lagos state police boss, Jimoh Moshood and 12 other have been promoted to the rank of assistant inspector-general of police (AIG).
The Police Service Commission (PSC) announced the promotion today, along with 17 deputy commissioners of police (DCP) elevated to the rank of commissioner of police (CP). Also, 18 assistant commissioners of police were promoted to deputy commissioners of police (DCP).
Thirty-five chief superintendents of police (CSPs) were elevated to the rank of assistant commissioners of police (ACPs).
In a statement, Torty Njoku Kalu, the PSC spokesperson, said the officers were promoted “following their successful performance in the recently concluded written examinations and oral interviews”.
Kalu quoted Hashimu Salihu Argungu, PSC chairman, as congratulating the promoted officers, adding that the promotion provides an opportunity for them to contribute more to the force.
