President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after a two-week series of official and private visits abroad. Tinubu’s journey commenced on April 23, departing from Abuja en route to the Netherlands, where he engaged in diplomatic and economic discussions at the invitation of Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

Tinubu’s arrival at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, at approximately 1:45 am on Wednesday, marked the conclusion of his international engagements.

During his time in the Netherlands, Tinubu held high-level talks with Prime Minister Rutte, focusing on matters of mutual interest between Nigeria and the Netherlands. Additionally, he had separate meetings with His Royal Majesty, King Willem-Alexander, and Queen Maxima of the Kingdom.

Participating in the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum, Tinubu engaged with heads of conglomerates and organizations from both countries to explore avenues for economic collaboration.

Following his engagements in the Netherlands, President Tinubu proceeded to Saudi Arabia to attend a Special World Economic Forum meeting in Riyadh, held from April 28 to 29. The summit, themed “Global collaboration, growth and energy for development,” convened leaders from diverse sectors to deliberate on global development strategies.

After the conclusion of the summit, President Tinubu extended his stay abroad for a private visit. While no official statement was issued regarding the details of his private engagements, sources within the Presidency confirmed that he traveled to London.
