Police searching for relatives of a man likely a trader involved in a hookup sex romp

Police are searching for the relatives of a man who slumped and died after engaging in a sex romp with a woman at a guest house in Paiko Council in Niger State.
The deceased, whom police have not identified, reportedly died at about 8.50pm on October 15.
It is known, however, that the guest house situated close the popular Paiko market along the Paiko-Lapai Road is owned by Paikoro Council and frequented by traders who travel long distances.
State Public Relations Officer Wasiu Abiodun, a Superintendent of Police, confirmed the incident in a statement, recounting that it was reported at Paiko police division on October 15.
“An incident of a suspected sudden death was reported at Paiko Div, that on 15/10/24 at about 2050hrs, a yet to be identified male adult visited the LGA lodge with a lady, and thereafter, he slumped and he was rushed to a nearby medical facility in Paiko where he was confirmed dead.
“The incident is being investigated as a medical autopsy is being awaited. Effort is also ongoing to locate his relatives for necessary arrangements,” the statement said.
A trader who did not want his name published disclosed that the man collapsed while dressing up after the tryst, saying “the lady told us that he was putting on his trousers when he suddenly slumped and died.”
The woman is in police custody and the body of the deceased is at IBB Specialist Hospital in Minna.
