The Ekiti Police command has confirmed the disappearance of a newborn baby from the Okeyimi Health Centre in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.
Spokesperson of the command, SP Sunday Abutu, made this known on Monday, while assuring that the police are doing everything to arrest the situation and secure the baby.
According to an eyewitness, healthcare workers on duty discovered the baby was missing in the early hours of Monday, when they wanted to attend to her.
The situation quickly plunged the hospital into chaos, leaving the infant’s mother, family members, patients, and staff in shock and distress.
