Oneness is

no longer brief

like an afternoon siesta. 

Darkness

no longer hovers

like a pack of vultures.

The helmsman

- Advertisement -

no longer shuttles

while the nation in desolation burns.

Their cover

will soon be over

like a dry season  drizzle.

Don’t ask why.
