Pinnick became the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in 2014, he is expected to end his second tenure in 2022

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick has denied the innuendos that he will be vying for a third term in office when his current tenure expires.
The chief executive officer of the glass house, Abuja has come under scrutiny, as fans and other stakeholders demanded his immediate resignation following Super Eagles’ failure to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
However, there are reports that the 51-year-old football administrator is planning to contest again as President of the NFF for the third time.
Pinnick, while responding to the news of his third term bid on Arise TV on Friday, said he is legally qualified to run for a third time but he will not be contesting.

He debunked the report linking him to another term in office, saying he is focused on spending more time with his family, as the job has taken a toll on their relationship.
“I’m eligible to run according to the status. Do I want to run ?, It’s a no no, my family is very key to me, they said it’s taking a toll on me and the family. They believed that I’ve done my best and it’s time to move on. It’s a regrettable decision, but it’s the best“, Pinnick said.
Amaju Pinnick was first elected as the president of the Nigeria Football Federation in September 2014 and was re-elected in September 2018.
He was also the First Vice President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) between September 2018 and July 2019 and he is expected to end his tenure as NFF president in September 2022.
