Piers Morgan, a lifelong Arsenal fan, also alleged that Mikel Arteta’s decision to leave Gyökeres on the bench was a “deliberate” one.

English broadcaster, journalist, and television personality Piers Morgan has said Arsenal striker Viktor Gyökeres feels ‘disrespected’ by his manager, Mikel Arteta, after the manager used him to force a transfer during the summer window.
He made this known recently while calling out the Spanish tactician’s treatment of the Arsenal star on Sports Uncensored.
Gyökeres is yet to start a league game for Arsenal this season and was an unused substitute in the victories over Coventry and Aston Villa.

The Swedish striker was, however, brought on for his first appearance of the season in the second half of the 2–1 London derby win over Chelsea at the Emirates.
Speaking on the alleged feud between the duo, Morgan alleged that Arteta tried to force a swap deal to sign top transfer target Julián Álvarez from Atlético Madrid, and Gyökeres is not happy about it.
The lifelong Arsenal fan went on to say the gaffer’s decision to leave the former Sporting CP striker on the bench was “deliberate”.
Speaking on the show, Morgan said: “Viktor Gyökeres has hardly had a kick since the season started and I was told on good authority that he was being deliberately benched”.
