Kwankwaso meets Obi, Makinde, Dickson in Kano
National leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has hosted several opposition figures at his residence in Kano for the Eid celebrations.
In his post on X Sunday, Kwankwaso said he was delighted to receive them.
The visitors included the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, now a member of the African Democratic Congress; Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde of the Peoples Democratic Party; and former Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Seriake Dickson, of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.

“Delighted to host Their Excellencies, Peter Obi, Seyi Makinde, and Seriake Dickson at my Kano residence for this joyful Sallah celebration.
“Wishing everyone peace, blessings, and prosperity,” Kwankwaso said.
The NNPP leader earlier held a closed-door discussion with Governor Makinde in Ibadan in February 2026, which fuelled talks of possible alliances to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress.
