Former Manchester United midfielder, Nicky Butt, has suggested that the Chelsea management should consider Frank Lampard as a replacement for under-pressure manager, Liam Rosenior.
The British pundit gave the advice recently while appearing as a guest on the latest episode of ‘The Good, The Bad & The Football’ podcast.
Lampard, who is a Chelsea legend, had an 18-month spell in charge of the London outfit between 2019 and 2021.
However, the 47-year-old English tactician is currently in charge of Coventry City, who sit nine points clear at the top of the Championship.
Rosenior, on the other hand, after an initial good start following his arrival in January, has now lost four games in a row in all competitions.

The results saw Chelsea eliminated from the Champions League by PSG, and they now sit in sixth place in the Premier League table.
While contrasting the performances of both managers, Butt acknowledged that Lampard is doing a good job with Championship side, Coventry.
He also noted that he is a more experienced manager after making mistakes during his first spell with the Blues.
“It wouldn’t be a stupid thing to go and get Frank Lampard back in charge of Chelsea for me. He’s done a great job at Coventry,” Butt said.
He added: “He’s got a bit more experience now and he probably made a few mistakes the first time around.
“He would be a totally different manager now. I think Lampard would find it easier working with better players; it would be easier for him to get his messages across to more technical players.”
