English pundit and former Arsenal midfielder, Paul Merson, has predicted that the English Premier League (EPL) title race could be “done and dusted in the next two weeks” if Manchester City and Liverpool take points off each other.
He made this known recently while speaking with the sports media platform, Sportskeeda.
He, however, noted that for this to happen, league leaders, Arsenal, must win their next two league fixtures against Burnley and Sunderland.

The Gunners won seven of their first nine matches, drew one, and lost only one. They are currently six and seven points clear of Man City and Liverpool respectively on the table.
Mikel Arteta’s men have also been solid defensively, conceding just three goals in 14 games in all competitions.
This weekend, they travel to Burnley, looking to continue their impressive run, and will battle high-flying Sunderland a week after.
Meanwhile, reigning champions, Liverpool, will travel to the Etihad Stadium in two weeks’ time to face
Man City.
While analysing the crucial league encounter, Merson argued that his former team, Arsenal, will emerge as champions this season if the Reds and the Citizens play out a draw.
He said: “I said on 19th September that if Arsenal get four points out of their games against Manchester City and Newcastle United, they win the league.
“Arsenal did it and I stand by what I said. In fact, the title race could be done and dusted in the next two weeks!
“They face Burnley and Sunderland before the international break, while Liverpool have Aston Villa and Manchester City.
“I expect Arsenal to win both their games and I’m not backing Liverpool to win this weekend. If City and Liverpool then take points off each other in gameweek 11, I think Arsenal will win the league quite comfortably.”
